Dehong is delighted to announce that after a search and confirmation process involving parents, staff and students, Coco Fan has been appointed as Executive Principal at Dehong Beijing International Chinese School.
Ms. Fan is an accomplished educator and school leader with nearly 20 years' experience across bilingual and international school settings. She brings deep expertise in the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework and a rigorous academic foundation to her new role at Dehong Beijing.
Throughout her career, Ms. Fan has held a variety of senior leadership and academic roles. A certified IB workshop leader and examiner, Ms. Fan has been deeply involved in shaping high school academic education at the highest level, with extensive experience in curriculum design, teacher training, programme evaluation, and accreditation across a range of international education frameworks.
Most recently, she served as Head of Primary and Director of Teaching and Learning at Wuxi Nanwai King's College, where she led curriculum innovation and academic strategy from Grades 1–12, and established a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to promote continuous faculty development.
Ms. Fan holds a Master of Education in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from East China Normal University and a Master's in International Leadership and Change from The Education University of Hong Kong.
During the remainder of the academic year, Principal Zhou will be working closely with Principal Fan to ensure a seamless handover and transition. We are excited to have Coco Fan joining us as the new Principal of Beijing Dehong and are confident that with her passion for student-centered learning, she will be dedicated to nurturing globally-minded, bilingual and culturally confident learners.
